After the choose, the two Nembo battalions, the 3rd of the 185th Rgt. Par. in Calabria and the 12th of the 184th Rgt. Par. in Sardegna, resumed the fight in two different operative sectors, the 3rd gone first to the head of Salerno bridge at he dipendences of the 1st Division Falschimjager and next to Roma. The 12th, from Sardinia, on 14 September lands in Bonifacio, in Corsica, and from here to Ghisonaccia where some airplanes Ju.52 transfer it to Pisa and Pontedera arriving on 23 in Pistoia, home of the battalion. The 20th Battalion of the “Ciclone”, located in Vetralla area (Viterbo), aggregated at the 6th Rgt Falschirmjager, was sent to Abruzzo behind Gustav line. In October the 3 battalions were located along Lazio’s coast in Palidoro area (the 12th), in Cerveteri the 3rd and in Furbara the 20th and at the end of November, with more 1.000 paracadutisti, the reparts were sent to Spoleto as Parachutists Group “Nembo” to complete the organics, thanks to the new recruits, came from Recruitment Centers of Roma Lucca, Pistoia, Firenze e Padova. On 1 dicembre 1943 born in Tradate (Varese) the Group Parachutists “Arditi” of Republican Air Force (A.P.A.R.) leaded by Lieutenant Colonel Edvino DALMAS, new training center with numerous trainers of Schools, just closed, of Tarquinia and Viterbo, with companies of aged parachutists, coming from the Battalion A.D.R.A. (Arditi Distructors of the Royla Air Force) and of recruits for the new repart that will be called Battalion “Azzurro”. The constitution of the 1st Regiment Parachutists happened on 27 April 1944, force the renaming of the reparts, and the 12th become 1st, the 3rd and the 20th become 2nd, the “Azzurro” battalion become 3rd. On 22 January 1944 the angloamerican land in Anzio causes on 9 February, the constitution in Spoleto of the Formation Battalion “Nembo” composed by old and joung parachutists that, sent immediately in fight, due to avid fights will loose until 70% of the force howevere staying in line with the name of Company Nettunia Nembo. On June 1944 the Regiment sent to the front of Roma, at the dipendences of the 1st German Parachutists Corp and at the end of the fight to defendig the capital its reparts will be sent in province of Varese to cover the organics, due to war events and to remake a new regiment with the companies trained in Tradate.
